In a few more months I will have to bid goodbye (I hope so...) to college. It was fun trying to look back to all the things that you have done the past years. I learned, enjoyed, missed a lot. The people, the places, the jamming sessions, the trying of times. I guess, you would never outgrew the child in you especially when your surrounded by people with the most childish and child-like personalities. I will always miss the bloopers, from the mispronounced words, to the outrageous anecdotes, the horrid reactions, the grossly offensive comments (which everyone seems to accept eventually). And who would ever forget the outfits, from the flashy ones to the "bagong- gising" look. The fights... ah yes, the misunderstandings, the arguments, the no non-sense bickering (kuno!!!). Everyone in the batch, I think had a share of limelight. And everyone has used it to the fullest. Most of all, I would surely, definitely, absolutely miss the fun times.
PATINTERO GALORE
Take this, we were on a feeding mill, when our van encountered an engine failure. We were through touring the whole area and just basically waiting for our service to get fixed. We were sitting in one of the office's backdoor exit along the stairs bored. Hence, the patintero game. We were too bored and had nothing left to do and decided to play "ins" as we refer it here in Miagao. Imagine a whole bunch of college students in their last year trying to play patintero. We were screaming our hearts out, running our way past each other. Just a bunch of adolescents trying to enjoy the thrill of patintero. We actually did not finish the game since everybody's exhausted running and chasing one another. Score: 1-1!!!
HAYAAA...
I don't know but it has been an unsaid norm in the batch that once a camera's out and you try to get a picture of us everyone has to give the wackiest pose they could ever muster. Walking in a broad daylight under the burning heat of the sun, we still could not give up laughing and make a fool of our own selves. No matter where we're at, no matter who the company is, we give you fun at its truest form (daw commercial lng!!!)
SIX-CYCLE CAROUSEL
I so badly wanted to go to a theme park for my birthday. Call me childish but I wish I could be at a theme park. You get to be extremely happy and have fun in a short time, without all the worries and setbacks your facing. You just divert your attention to the many rides and amusement that spells capital F-U-N. One of these days, I would ride the carousel and cast all my worries with the wind. Tataaa...
D' LANTERN PARADE UPV EDITION
One of the more memorable activity in school. You walk along the roads of Iloilo city chanting on top of your lungs the perpetual "Tabagak" cheer. You get to poke fun to the random strangers along the road. But my batch, yes my batch would always be in the forefront of the acad org parade. You see, we are attention- seekers and we try to find ways for us to be noticed. Trust my batchmates (and me...) to always be in the center of every happening.
THE BEACH
It's quite some time that I didn't get to take a dip and enjoy the salt water. I would probably be missing the beach so much. I know, it would take me time to be back and enjoy once more the wonder of dagat.
So many things, so little time. I think, once you get used to people and things you would always and always be looking and yearning for them to come back and savor the once joyous wonder they brought. I guess, I could never get over the fact that I would be leaving the very place that had given me the most in my life. The very place that had taught me that waters run fast that chasing it could be tiresome and exhausting. Learning to go with flow without resistance is a better option. At the end of the day, accolades can only do so much but true wisdom will always boil down to where you've gone after you tread the unknown waters of being a student.
